Heartspace for and on behalf of CBRE were tasked to restack and redesign the existing offices in Midrand to encourage activity based working as well as to optimise the floorplan whilst creating a healthy environment for staff. South Africa is the third most biodiverse country in the world and inhabitants have for centuries employed the help of indigenous medicinal plants. These medicinal plants are still in use today in phytoceuticals. The interior inspiration is a look back at the origins of medicine in South Africa (namely the plants) and to give ode to these healing plants.
