Tourvest is Southern Africa’s leading integrated tourism group, operating businesses which range from travel management companies, hotels, lodges and restaurants to craft, curio and jewellery shops and foreign exchange bureaux, under some 60 sector-leading brands, employing more than 5 000 people. Heartspace were appointed to do the Interior Design for Tourvest, as part of a JV team with TEAM Architects. Their head office needed to reflect their comany ethos. We were inspired by African craft and culture, such as the Zulu Hat over the main reception. The furnishings were all from local manufacturers, mostly being from Tourvest’s supplier base.
